Okay, so probably you're the best person to ask about this one...
I have a tendonitis relief site that I have linked in my signatures both here and on EP. I checked the inlinks to the site and all the ones on here were listed, but none of the (much more numerous

) ones from EP were. What gives?
Nobody on EP is clicking? :-P
Honestly I don't know right off the bat. When you say checking inbound links, are you checking through Google's web tools, or through your server's own stats?
I've got this whole site practically integrated with Google to boost SE rankings, including regular bot-crawls, so it could just be that there's more "cred" for that reason.
Haha. No one on either forum is clicking; I'm just trying to get the inlinks for SEO purposes.
I'm using
Yahoo's Site explorer to count inbound links. I have to say that I haven't yet "authenticated" my site with them (in the process now), which might make a difference, but still...
If you plug
http://www.targettendonitis.com into the field there, you'll see that it has lots of links from Amped and nothing from EP. Which is odd considering that the links from EP are much older (most of them, anyway).
Maybe EP has nofollows for everything? I don't know enough about it to really make a guess.
Well what's interesting about that is that I've got the url tag set to default to rel=nofollow here, so that's not it lol
Hmmm... Maybe Aaron would know.
Obviously I'd like to get the EP links, considering all the posts and time I've put in over there. If anyone has any ideas on this, I'll be very grateful.
I just checked, EP has the forums disallowed in robots.txt
So basically search engines don't crawl there.
