So first time posting here, I've been screwing around for the past few years not getting anywhere and this year I've resolved to fix that and I figured a log was a good way to start.

Little bit about myself, I'm a 21 university student, 6'0 160lbs (and I'm a scorpio Big Grin). I've been going to a trainer whose a former strongman competitor, so I'm kinda interested in getting into that sometime down the road. Every Saturday theres events stuff at his house, went for the first time last week and thought it was awesome (and I didn't do to horribly).

Short term goals are:

Both days felt kinda shitty, the lower more so. I'm thinking box squats are a bad idea and am just going to do front squats for 5 sets across at 5 instead.

Did much better on the log then I had previously but sucked at the tire flips. Lower back incredibly sore the next day, very tired
You have any comps coming up?
Lol no at this point in time I don't think I'm anywhere near strong enough to try and compete yet. Most of the comps in this area (Ontario) are in spring/summer, so maybe if things go incredibly well I could try for a lightweight novice one in August .
