Training yesterday....sprints, pushups, situps. My pinched nerved is acting up again and I'm struggling a bit with my pushups as my arm goes a bit numb from time to time. I'm trying to put it out of my mind for the test on Friday and then work on fixing it once that is over. Mind over matter, mind over matter. =) I think I might start looking around for a trainer as well, I feel like I'm on information overload where I know too much and not enough all at the same time. Maybe having someone else guide me for a bit will help calm my brain down. I'm used to training to lose a little, tighten up a little, lift a little more but this is the first time I've ever trained with a goal like passing a fit test and I'm struggling with how to get stronger on the pushups and faster on the situps & the run all while thinking that this test doens't really gage someone's fitness but really their ablilty to train for something. Grrrr.
Didn't pass again. Crap city. There is something wrong with my arms.....last month I did 33 pushups and was aiming for 36 this time. This month, I *barely* got 27 in and my arms were shaking from the very first one. I have no idea how I even made it to 27. The people running the test were surprised too since I was shaking so badly. I can't figure out where my arm strength has gone. My arms are tired ALL THE TIME....they feel weak even when I'm sitting at my desk working. I need to figure out what the hell is going on otherwise I'm not sure how the test is going to get passed.
So it's official, I have a pinched nerve. So I've completely dropped pushups from my training and am trying to maintain with running & situps to pass the test. I'm starting prednisone to see if that helps my arm and if not, I may have to start looking at other options for a more permanent fix. =( Sucky, sucky. On a happier note, my new pp was delivered today so I get to try the Choco Coconut from BSN this weekend. I soooo need a change so I'm hoping I like it!

Badger <--- becuase I like him!
I love trying new protein powders. Have you tried muscle milk? They're the best!

Oops....bit dusty in here again! I love new ones too....I just always worry you end up with a big tub of crap you can't stand! I haven't tried muscle milk....which ones do you like? I just got the Syntha 6 from BSN....holy crap it's tasty! The chocolate coconut is yummers too!

My training is back on mostly. Still having trouble with my arm but I'm determined to get back on track. Running one day a week, circuts twice a week and the fit test once a week. And situps, pushups, situps, pushups at home most days. Hopefully I'll start dropping a little weight Blush so the running will get easier!
