"The butterfly effect is a metaphor that encapsulates the concept of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory; namely that small differences in the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system"
I'm working on those small differences. And I have to say...it's working. Habits sure are hard to break, but it's amazing how just doing things even a little diffferently starts the ball rolling. I can't believe some of the things my body really can do when I keep working at it. I'm ready to see what's in store.

Isn't that the truth?!
I have heard it takes 21 days to build a new habit.
The hardest part is starting but once you go, you go!

So glad the weekend is here! This week kicked my ass and then some. Also, I somehow forgot that campus is closed for the holiday on Monday, so three day weekend!

I definitely have plenty to keep me busy though.
Today is house cleaning, grocery shopping, training, and probably a run. I was able to lay out a more formal plan for the du, but I'm having trouble on deciding where to put my long/rest days to best fit with my usual weekly schedule. The book lists a straight M-Sunday format, and I wanted to switch it around to deal with my clinical days through the week. However, I think I might be better off to follow what is listed because I don't know how realistic having long days will be outside of the weekend.
Football tonight!

Changed my mind and decided to do the bike tonight. I have specifically saved my bike time until game time since I can't sit still when it's on anyway. I'll have no trouble with high intensity!
ETA: Jeff and I will be yelling at the TV at all the opposite times. I like the Ravens as a general rule, but am a Colts fan through and through.
As long as the Vikings win the big trophy, I don't really care...
Good times!
I did get some good biking in during the first half. I need to do better with the stretching. My right hamstring is really tight and unhappy.
My right hamstring is the same way. Ever since I hurt my back a few years back, it always pulls to that side. It is very frustrating!
