May as well start a training log over here. Please feel free to post your comments, encouragement, input, critique, etc.
So my training pretty much centers around the olympic lifts. I compete in the 53kg weight class in the "masters" category cuz I'm an old broad. My most recent meet was last weekend where I snatched 44kg and C&Jd 55kg for a 99kg total. I have another meet coming up next month and I'm also planning to compete at the American Masters in November.
Alright, enough about me...here's my workout today . Sundays are usually non-Oly stuff. I'm working on improving jerk technique since my heavy jerks suck and are really limiting my ability to get my totals up. Thus I'm doing lots of jerky stuff lately.
Warmups - I do a combination of stretches and dynamic stuff and then a warmup with the bar
Reverse Hypers 3x10xBW (unweighted just to get my wonky SI warmed up)
Front Squats (oly style of course) - 2x1x20kg, 1x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x50kg, 1x60kg, 1x65kg, 1x68.5kg, 1x70kg (FAIL!)
Rack Jerks - 4x1x20kg, 2x1x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x42.5kg, 2x1x47.5kg, 4x1x50kg, 1x51kg, 1x52.5kg
Push Press - 3x20kg, 3x30kg, 3x32.5kg, 3x35kg, 2x3x37.5kg, 2x3x38.5kg
Step Ups - 2x5x25# DBs
That's it. I'm having a serious mental block on 70kg front squats so I'm sneaking up on them a half a kilo at a time.
