I lost my balance on a max clean and ended up partially tearing my TFCC and some other stuff in my right wrist. I got the ok from my doctor to do some light non olympic lifting at the beginning of the year....so at least I am doing something and I am also swimming. But it really sucks not to be oly lifting because it is so fun! And I was just finally starting to get slightly strong and improve my technique!
But it has given me a chance to step back and realize that getting strong isn't everything....being healthy is

Oh, that suuuuuuuuuuuucks! I'm so sorry about that. Good luck getting yourself back to 100 percent. I've had some injuries over the past couple years and it's a great time to re-build and work on technique and such.
Speaking of technique work, that's what I did today. Worked with the bar and the little 2.5kg bumpers in my garage today. Did lots of warmups and stretching, bar warmups and then
Snatch 10x1x20kg
C&J 10x1x20kg
Front Squats 2x5x20kg
Stretching and more stretching and done. It was cold as a mutha in the garage today, but other than that the workout was decent and my back seems to be healing well. I'm going to attempt to do some heavier snatching tomorrow so we'll see what happens.
My back is finally feeling better. Had a good workout today but didn't push too much weight because I am attempting to be cautious.
Warmups - lots of it
Snatch - 4x1x20kg, 3x1x25kg, 2x1x30kg, 1x32.5kg, 5x1x35kg, 1x37.5kg, 1x38.5kg, 1x40kg, 1x35kg, 3xbar
Front Squats - 2x20kg, 2x25kg, 2x30kg, 2x35kg, 2x2x40kg
Did some stretching. That's it. 40kg felt easy and quick for the snatches and pain free. Hoping that next week I'll be back to 100%. I'm competing at the Arnold in a few weeks and would like to not totally suck.
Good luck at the Arnold! I think some of the peeps I lifted with were going to go...not sure anymore..I am kind of out of the loop.
