Anyone listen to it?
Thoughts?
I found Lou Schuler's comments on the politics involved in putting together a book or magazine to be very interesting. I used to enjoy reading his stuff.... just not enough to warrant reading the t-mag trash.
Thanks for the tip, I had not know about this site before.
I'm listening to the Schuler interview now. It's interesting, but it is extremely ironic to hear an editor at T-Muscle (a wholly owned subsidiary of Biotest, as far as I can tell) talk about blurring the lines between advertising and the "real" research/news content.
Lou's an alright guy as far as I've ever known him, which admittedly isn't much, but he just doesn't strike me as the "money no matter what" type that's, well, pretty much everybody else.
How he reconciles that with T-mag's business model is beyond me.
For a man who claims to have been the one behind the idea of NROL and NROL4W, I really can't see how he can stand disseminating workouts aimed at hyooge bis and monster calves.
Besides this interview, I have rather enjoyed listening to Iron Radio. Though it sometimes gets bro-y they've had some good talks on psyching up for the gym, keeping your training on track, and the underground obsession with getting huge. I think it keeps from getting too off track because everyone is interested in the topic at hand, the topic is fairly static for each episode (ie no mailed in q&a), and they have a large enough cast that they can bring various perspectives to the table.
...I say that & then notice a new one was posted:
